Halkdiki has got a rich and long wine tradition as well as some of the most important vineyards in Greece. They are cultivated in Central Halkidiki (Nea Propontida, Agios Pavlos), in Sithonia, the mountainous areas of Arnea and Marathousa, but also in Agio Oros, that has a relevant age-old tradition in viticulture and wine production.

We can find many local and foreign varieties such as Roditis, Malagousia, Limnio, Asyrtiko, Athiri, Sauvignon Blanc but red varieties as well such as Xinomavro, Grenache Rouge, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Apart from wines there is a lot of ouzo and tsipouro produces in local distilleries every October.
